House with decorations in Sibiu, built in the eighteenth century, was called by the inhabitants of Sibiu, in the next century of its creation, „At the virgine of stones”. Caryatides is an architectural support column used in place about the statue as represented by a woman. The building stands out in particular due to the two caryatids at the entrance.
In the building previously lived in the city most famous silversmith Sebastian Han. After his death the house was built with caryatids, the short time since the creation of Brukental Palace.
Caryatids house was built in Baroque style, with rectangular shape and a large courtyard. The height of the façade is of two levels while the roof has been carried out in three steps. The ground floor consists of a large loggia with semicircular arches that support the access corridor premises second level. The two story building with columns galleries emphasize the architectural ensemble.
Currently caryatids house is boarding school for German speakers in Sibiu.
