Friedrich Schiller House in Sibiu hosts the bust the German playwright of the same name, is one of the most important sights in the city.
Friedrich von Schiller (1759-1805) was a the German dramatist and poet, was named one of the „princes” of German poetry. He was born in the family of a surgeon in Marbach, Württemberg duchy. At 14 years, Schiller is enrolled in the Military Academy where he formed rebellious spirit. In 1780 after supporting a dissertations became a military doctor in the regiment of Württemberg.
